The knowledge, attitude and practice level of dental auxiliaries regarding oral health care for pregnant patients in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia

Background:The purpose of this research was to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice dental auxiliaries related oral health care for pregnant patientsin Eastern Province Saudi Arabia. Methods: A cross-sectional study using a questionnaire survey conducted. The were rated Likert scale out 5. Knowledge categorized bloom’s cut off point methods (80% above isgood, less than 80% is bad).Concerningattitude, positive, negative) questionnaires sent all hygienists assistants (N=358), responses collected from 218. Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) software utilised conduct statistical analysis. Results: Out 358, 218 responded (response rate = 61%). More half respondents showed relatively good knowledge (57.3%). Most had positive attitude (89.4%). Regarding practice, approximately two-thirds (67.4%). score significantly higher assistants, with experience in treating patients scores others who did not have patients. There statistically significant correlation between education. Conclusions: The findings suggest need establish continuous education programs adopt best guidelines on perinatal health.
